Z&J Sport Partners with DAMBusters Dragon Boat Club, Supporting Breast Cancer Survivors

We at Z&J Sport are proud to announce our new partnership with the DAMBusters BCS Dragon Boat Club, a remarkable team based in Docklands, Melbourne, comprised primarily of breast cancer survivors and their supporters.

The collaboration began after a chance meeting at a local sponsorship event and was inspired by the club's powerful story of resilience and community. Sue Mason, the club's president and a breast cancer survivor herself, shared how dragon boating has been transformative for recovery, offering both physical rehabilitation and a vital sense of belonging.

“We were deeply moved by the DAMBusters’ story,” said Usher Shao, Sales and Marketing Manager at Z&J Sport. “Their values of determination, teamwork, and community align perfectly with our brand. We are honored to support their journey.”

As part of this partnership, Z&J Sports has donated a set of custom-made, lightweight paddles for the team to use in training and competition. The DAMBusters will take these paddles to France next year, where they will represent Australia at the International Breast Cancer Paddlers’ Commission (IBCPC) festival.

Z&J Sport is a leading global manufacturer of high performace paddles. This partnership highlights our ongoing commitment to growing connections within the Australian water sports community and supporting causes that make a real difference.

“Joining DAMBusters gave me my confidence back,” Sue Mason reflected. “It reminded me that life after breast cancer can still be full, active, and connected.”

We are thrilled to support the DAMBusters and look forward to cheering them on as they paddle forward, celebrating life and strength together.
